Throughout the story, Stellaluna learns lessons of survival, and most importantly true friendship. This story teaches a great lesson for young children in a humorous and lovable way.

Activity: Students can tell about their childhood growing up, then the teacher can pick different cultures and teach the students about how children grow up around the world. Students can compare and contrast their lives.
