Overview: As a fourth grader, Peter Warren Hatcher has many problems to deal with from his controlling mother to his schoolwork. But his biggest problem is his two-year- old brother, Fudge. Everyone thinks Fudge is so cute. But not Peter, Peter knows the truth. When Fudge walks off with Peter’s new pet turtle, Dribble, Peter has finally had enough, and he decides to take things into his own hands. This book is a great humorous story. By the end, it’s hard not to fall in love with the characters.

Activity: The teacher can have the students write about their siblings, and share stories with each other. If they do not have any siblings, have them to talk about their closet cousins or friends.
