Overview: Amazing Grace is about a young girl who loves acting and adventure. She wants to be Peter Pan in her school play, but her classmates tell her she cannot due to her ethnicity and gender. After meeting other inspiring women who have overcome stereotypes, Grace is motivated to pursue her dreams and goes for the part.
Activity: Use this story to teach about the importance of character. Create a character web of Grace. Later make a character web as they think about themselves and what makes them unique, similar to the way they approached analyzing Grace.
