Publisher: Scholastic
Publication Date: 1949
Genre: Fiction
Audience: K-1

Overview: A very easy read for young children who are just starting. This is a very old book but informative. It teaches children about the change of seasons and about some forest animals like squirrels, bears, groundhogs, and mice. The pictures are black and white but well done.

Activity: Decorate the classroom like winter. Put the kids down for nap time and when they wake up make the classroom look like spring.
